The Association for Asian Studies has a subvention program for first books in Asian studies.
The Medieval Academy of America provides subvention support for first books by members.
The Textbook and Academic Authors Association offers two forms of grants to assist members and non-members with some of the expenses related to publishing their academic works and textbooks.
The Kaplan fund supports the Furthermore Publication Grant, which supports publication of nonfiction books that concern the arts, history, and the natural and built environment.
